Please allow me to introduce you to Lilybeth Erin Dooley

Today Ann and I went to the Doctor today and had our (well Ann’s) week 20 sonogram. There is no doubt that we (again, mostly Ann) are having a girl! Lilybeth is derived from the Welsh name Lilybet, which means “God’s promise”. Erin means “from Ireland”, which is a tiny bit deceptive as the child will be (from our calculations) 37.5% Scottish, which will be the biggest percentage of her varied heritage… basically we thought the name was pretty.

On to the baby’s health… again our doctor used the word “Perfect” to describe Lilybeth. The heart has all four chamber’s, she has two kidneys, one bladder, one stomach, an active and proportionate brain, a fully formed upper lip, symmetrically growing arms and legs, her circulatory system is working and receiving blood properly from the umbilical cords… in short, there is nothing wrong with her. So, without further ado… meet Lilybeth Erin Dooley:

It's a Girl!

And for the pièce de résistancevideo of the entire session (including footage not seen in the pictures!). Just right click and “Save As”… the file is playable in iTunes, Quicktime, and on iPods. It’s 74Mb, but well worth the wait!
