Let the Summer Blockbuster Season Begin!

And it does so in style!  I am just arriving home from the midnight (well, we got into the 11:15 showing) premiere of Iron Man… one of the best reviewed movies of they year so far (it actually wrangled a 96% at rottentomatoes.com – which I thought was impossible for a superhero flick).

It was awesome.  Smart, funny, action packed with a little heart… and set up for sequels big time!  If you didn’t see Samuel L Jackson (as General/Colonel Nick Fury no less!) in the movie, you didn’t see the whole thing!

Anyway, I gotta finish some frozen burritos and an Amp energy drink before heading off to bed.  See ya at the next midnight showing (Indiana Jones, then Dark Knight, then Hulk… oh what a busy summer I’ll have).

Yeah, the last two summers were kind of ho-hum when it came to blockbusters.

Funny story, Wes Hamilton just called to ask if Iron Man was mild enough for an 8 year old… I told him aside from the scene where Tony beds a reporter it should be okay.

Adam and I saw Iron Man Friday night and loved it! I expected Adam to love it, but *I* didn’t expect to enjoy it so much! (I was still complaining we weren’t seeing Made of Honor!) But I walked out of Iron Man very pleased!

I’m so glad we’ve gotten involved in the media ministry – It’s nice to find people who are so much like us! (Adam’s been planning his Summer Movie schedule too!)

I was kinda on the fence about Iron Man and Downey Jr., but with all the awesome reviews for it I’ve got to get out of this house and see that.

    Movies I’m looking forward too:
    Hellboy 2
    Pineapple Express
Get Smart (anne hathaway as agent 99 hubba hubba)
    The Dark Knight
    and……

Indiana Jones. The best adventure movie series EVER!

I totally forgot about Hellboy 2 and Get Smart… those look good too! I have no idea what Pineapple Express is, guess I’ll go look it up…
